Dirty Cat is a Reality Capture Studio dedicated to documenting real environments, operations and experiences. We digitize physical spaces, live events and educational sessions into visual assets that help people understand, remember and be engaged with. Our services have two main umbrellas; videography and photography. These include Operations Training Videos, 3D Virtual Tours, 360 Conditions Reports, Real-Estate Marketing and more.
The Founder
Kevin is a reality‑capture specialist in documenting construction projects from initial site works through to final handover. He has worked with large multinational companies to create digital twins of complex assets using a wide range of capture technologies, including DSLR and video cameras, drones, LiDAR scanners and structured‑light 3D cameras.
His curiosity for how real environments can be captured and understood extends beyond visuals. Kevin also experiments with audio production and live instrument mixing. Driven by the same interest of capturing the real-world, he continues this playful pursuit outside of his professional work and into music.
The Name Origin
Naming a business shouldn’t be the hardest part — but in a world where every good idea is already taken, it often is. After weeks of searching through domains and social handles, Kevin found himself stuck between names that were unavailable and names that felt lifeless. The process was dragging on, and he was ready for it to end.
One afternoon, his adopted Burmese, Theo, padded in from outside, paws dusty, and planted himself on the keyboard. He looked up, held eye contact, and something clicked. Kevin typed the name, checked the domain, checked the socials — all free. It felt like a small, cheeky nudge from the universe, pointing him in the right direction.
Dirty Cat Studio was born.
